
Dr. Jacqueline Levy Jaffe, Ph.D (resume)

Dr. Jaffe is a licensed pediatric psychologist specializing in children and adolescents with a variety of learning and behavior problems. She has 15 years of experience performing psychological evaluations and helping children and families cope with the impact of adverse medical events on cognitive and behavioral functioning. She received her doctorate in clinical pediatric psychology at the University of Miami and completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship sponsored by the National Institutes of Health at the Mailman Center for Child Development. As an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Jaffe directed clinical services provided to patients and families served by the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. In addition, she instructed and supervised graduate students and medical residents, and performed independent and collaborative research. She has worked with the Children’s Cancer Fund, the American Cancer Society, and Florida Brain Tumor Association specializing in helping children and their families survive cancer. Dr. Jaffe is also a published researcher who has designed and collaborated on studies examining the effects of illness and injury on brain development, quality of life, learning and behavior. |
